Personal webspace of H Roger Baker II. Currently, I work for a Third Party Administrator and serve as the lead of the Unemployment Compensation Division, located in Dublin, Ohio.
I have over 18 years of experience in the unemployment cost control field. My knowledge and training includes state procedures and processing of claims, determinations, charges, hearings, and taxes in all 50 states, Guam and Puerto Rico.
I am responsible for the technical and operational functions of the division including compliance with company standards and industry best practices; to ensure consistent delivery of quality services; to be responsible for staffing and training needs, as well as staff development, career and succession planning; conduct seminars; assist in the sales process; and to assist management with budget preparation and profit and loss administration.
During my tenure, I have been recognized as a top performer, completed the Star (Lead) Program, and acknowledged with multiple internal colleague recognition awards.
In my leisure time, I write and I love being involved with anything that is creative. I enjoy writing Fantasy, Sci Fi, and Ghost type fiction. I write for all types of mediums: Animation, Comic Books, Films, Podcasts, Print, and Television.
I am a former promoter in the state of Ohio. I've administered, managed, marketed, and promoted mixed martial arts, music, and wrestling events.
